What to Expect at Your First Visit
Your first visit is all about learning more about your orthodontic treatment and determining the best approach for your unique smile. During your consultation, you will:
- Meet our friendly team and get familiar with our clinic
- Review your dental and medical history
- Receive a full oral examination, including X-rays, to assess whether treatment is needed
- Discuss personalized treatment options based on your dental evaluation
- Learn about financial options, insurance coverage, and available payment plans

After Your Consultation – Next Steps
If treatment is recommended for you and you're ready to move forward, we’ll schedule your first official appointment. At this visit, your orthodontist will place your new braces or fit your Invisalign aligners. This appointment typically takes about an hour, and we’ll make sure you’re as comfortable as possible.
Scheduling and Managing Future Appointments
Regular orthodontic visits—scheduled every four to eight weeks—are essential for monitoring your progress and making the necessary adjustments. We try to make scheduling as convenient as possible, so please let us know your preferred dates and times. If you ever need to reschedule, just give us a call, and we’ll do our best to accommodate you. If you’re a morning person, we can offer early morning appointments starting as early as 7:15 -a.m. Just let us know what works best for you.
Regular Dental Checkups
Even during orthodontic treatment, it’s important to continue visiting your family dentist for routine cleanings and checkups every six months. Proper dental care will help your teeth and gums remain healthy while undergoing orthodontic adjustments. If additional dental care is needed, we’re happy to coordinate with your dentist to provide comprehensive care.
