Meet Dr. Kimberly Hodder, Certified Specialist in Orthodontics

I love being able to make my patients smile. Both children and adults often feel self-conscious about their appearance. So there is simply no better feeling than to see a formerly worried patient start smiling with confidence and happiness. Their lives really change for the better.

I love kids’ total honesty. There is also a great sense of privilege and reward I feel knowing I have the opportunity be a positive influence in their lives.  A well-placed word or piece of advice will stick with a young one and help them keep their smile bright for a lifetime.

My team is highly skilled at what they do, and they do it with smiles. We engage our patients and get to know them during their visits. These relationships are meaningful and important to us. They make what we do fun. It is a joy getting to know our patients and becoming friends with them.

We like the atmosphere here to be upbeat, friendly, and patient-centered. We want our patients to know they will always be safe and well-cared for in our practice. We go out of our way to make sure we keep them well informed. Experience, certification, training, and continuing education, keeps everyone on our staff as sharp as they can be. The technology available allows us the ability to give patients access to whatever care they need. We always warmly welcome patients’ families to visit and keep them comfortable while they are here. We even have an esthetician in the office who provides free initial manicures for patients and moms.

We cannot wait to help you to your smile of a lifetime.

Education

In addition to the Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees I hold, my educational background includes:

Continuing Education

I am deeply committed to what I have chosen to do for a living and regularly take continuing education courses both locally and abroad. It is critical to stay abreast of the latest advances in my field. I am also an Invisalign® Elite Preferred Provider. It is important that we always be able to offer our patients access to the most effective technology available. This assures real reductions in treatment time, improved healing, and the most positive smile results.

Professional Memberships

Research and collective experience continue to refine our understanding of the most efficient means to obtaining reliable clinical success and the brightest patient smiles. Staying active and in-touch with others practicing my profession is one of the most effective ways I have found to keep my skills and understanding of my field vital. Care providers must always strive to see their patients receive only top-notch care.  My professional memberships include:

Family and Free-time

Originally a Nova Scotia native, since 2001 I have lived in beautiful British Columbia with my husband, Jason. Like me, he is an orthodontist. We were originally dental school classmates when we first met in 1997, before moving out here together. We are most lucky to share our lives with our children, Mya and Feury.

I am truly happy when I am spending time outdoors, especially, with my family. In my free time, I also enjoy running, gardening, and reading.

Commitment to Community

This is a wonderful area of the country to be in and a wonderful community of which to be a part. I get a good deal of pleasure from volunteering at our children’s schools. Our practice is also very involved in giving back to our community. For example, something patients may not know is that following their free initial manicure, all revenue raised from manicures performed by the esthetician in our office is donated to local schools in the area.
